The Easter Bunny is somewhere in Mineral! Bring the family out for a good 'ole' fashion egg hunt! You greet the train at the MRSR Maintenance and Restoration yard located in Mineral, WA. You will depart being pulled by one of our historic steam locomotives to our private picnic grounds on Mineral Lake. The Easter Bunny should be somewhere in the area! The kids will have fun finding the plastic eggs filled with treats and gifts. Just a fun family day. Easter Bunny Express fills up fast, so make your reservations early. Don't forget your camera and something to gather eggs in. Ride is 30 minutes to lake and return is 30 minutes back to yard. You will spend approximately 30 minutes at the lake for a total RT of 1 1/2 hr.

The mountain streams and flowers are starting to wake up from the long winter. It is a beautiful time of year in the foothills of Mount Rainier . Treat Mom to a family day out on the train with a gourmet buffet meal of Honey Ham, Baron of Beef, Scallop Potatoes, German Potato Salad, two green salads, rolls, Cheesecake, Strawberry Mimosa's, Strawberry Lemonade, coffee or bottled water. And to show Mom how special she is, she will receive a fresh flower corsage as she boards the train. We will depart from the Mineral, WA yard and make a 2+ hour roundtrip full of family fun and lots of picture opportunities.

Treat Dad to something fun & unique this year by taking him on the Train. This 2+ hour roundtrip includes a 15-mile train ride with a stop at an area called Divide, where the steam locomotive will switch sides of the train. We will then back up to one of the largest wooden trestle in the Northwest. Dad also gets an Engineer's Hat and an opportunity to blow the trains horn! Lunch is a hearty buffet of bbq ribs and chicken, salads, bbq beans, biscuits, & mouth watering desserts.

Join in the celebration as we welcome back to life the Rayonier #2 Willamette to the rails of the Pacific Northwest! To celebrate we will make this special excursion a five (5) hour trip. To include a 3 steam run by for photo opportunities. Running the #2 Willamette, #17Alco and the #10 Climax. After the 3 Steam run by, the Willamette will travel towards Morton and passengers will again be let off the train for another run by photo opportunity at a trestle. Join us for a fun-filled evening of murder, mystery and mayhem! It's up to you to solve the mystery as the action unfolds before your eyes. Trains are approx. 3+ hour round trip. Starter Appetizers and Open Cash Bar will be served on the train. Heavy Hors D'oeuvres will be ready and waiting when we arrive at the Morton Depot. We will spend 30 minutes in Morton. Reboard the train for dessert and return trip to Mineral. Advanced reservation with a minimum of 7 days notice is required. You too will Believe! Catch a ride this December when the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad becomes the "Snowball Express" Children of all ages will experience the magic of a holiday train ride. Passengers will be served cider and hot chocolate. Santa Claus will be waiting for his favorite ' small' passengers to arrive at Mineral Lake, where they have an opportunity to visit "Santa's Workshop car" and receive a gift from Santa. The "Snowball Express" will depart from Elbe, WA and make its way along mountain streams, usually covered by snow this time of year. During the ride enjoy Barber Shop Quartet with holiday carols.
