The Easter Bunny is somewhere in Mineral! Bring the family out for a good ole' fashion egg hunt. We will depart from the Elbe, WA Depot and head for the picnic grounds on Mineral Lake for the egg hunt. The Easter Bunny should be somewhere in the area! The kids will have fun finding the plastic eggs filled with treats and gifts. Just a fun family day. Easter Bunny Express fills up fast, so make your reservations early.

The mountain streams and flowers are starting to wake up from the long winter. It is a beautiful time of year in the foothills of Mount Rainier . Treat Mom to a family day out on the train with a gourmet boxed lunch catered by Copper Creek Inn. And to show Mom how special she is, she will receive a fresh flower corsage when aboard. We will depart from the Elbe , WA Depot and make a 2+ hour roundtrip full of family fun and lots of picture opportunities. Choose your boxed lunch when making your reservations. Lunch includes a selection of sandwich wraps, fresh fruit salad, pasta salad, scrumptious dessert, bottled water and soda or a glass of wine.

Treat Dad to something fun & unique this year by taking him on the Train. This 2+ hour roundtrip includes a 15-mile train ride with a stop at an area called Divide, where the steam locomotive will switch sides of the train. We will then back up to one of the largest wooden trestle in the Northwest. Dad also gets an Engineer's Hat and an opportunity to blow the trains horn! Lunch is a hearty buffet of bbq ribs and chicken, salads, bbq beans, biscuits, & mouth watering desserts.

The Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad will be hosting a photo freight featuring the Climax #10 and a mixed freight train from Mineral to Morton and back and will be an all day event. The passenger train, featuring the Alco #17 2-8-2T and/or the NP #7012A and newly repainted passenger cars based on the Milwaukee Road paint scheme will shuttle passengers between the run-by locations.
The trains will depart Mineral Yard at 10am.
There may be a tour of Morton Depot and the Mineral Shops that will be an extra cost. There has been no official decision on this at this time.

The Loggerer's of Mineral Lake have gone mad! This haunt starts in an old passenger car, then becomes the BIG FRIGHT with The "Trail of Terror" and the "Coach of Doom". Only the brave at heart should come through here. Not responsible for any deaths or any one disappearing. Ready? Join Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad on an evening trip as you stop along side of Mineral Lake for a goolish coach of doom and hike the trail of terror. Some say they can't go in! This event becomes more popular each year. Book early. PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED, NOT RECOMMENDED FOR UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE. NO ALCOHOL. Appropriate shoes to walk the trails recommended.

You too will Believe! Catch a ride this December when the Three Rivers Rambler becomes the "Christmas Express" Children of all ages will experience the magic of a holiday train ride. Passengers will be served Christmas cookies, cider and hot chocolate. Santa Claus will board the train at the area known as Divide, where passengers will have an opportunity to visit "Santa's car" and we give our little passengers a gift from Santa. The "Snowball Express" will depart from Mineral, WA and make its way along mountain streams, usually covered by snow this time of year. During the ride, carolers will sing and lead traditional holiday songs. These trains will sell out! Please make reservations as soon as possible.
