New Location - Mineral, WA!

Directions To Our New Departure Site

Due to track damage at the Nisqually River bridge, we'll be operating on a new route this season.

Our train will depart from our restoration facility in Mineral, WA. The address is 349 Mineral Creek Rd, Mineral, WA, 98355 

Please note that you will not be able to catch the train in Elbe this season! (Maybe we should have put wheels under our new station?)

Mineral is approximately a 15 minute drive from Elbe. Please allow sufficient time to reach our new location.

Driving directions from the Northern part of Washington

From Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and other areas to the north, follow State Highway 7 to Elbe.

Mapquest Driving Directions from Highway 7 in Elbe, WA to Mineral Creek Rd, Mineral, WA
(Elbe is where the train previously departed.)

In Elbe, continue past the train station and then turn right at the steel bridge over the Nisqually river. Follow the signs for Highway 7 / Morton.

Continue on HIghway 7 South for approximately 3-3/4 miles to Mineral Road N.

Turn left onto Mineral Road N, and continue 1-1/2 miles to the town of Mineral.

In Mineral, turn left on Front St. (This is the road that passes the Lions Club campground.) Continue on this road for approximately 1 mile to our yard and departure site.

Follow the signs to the parking and boarding area.

 

 

Driving directions from Southern part of Washington

From Portland, Chehalis, Yakima and areas south of Olympia, take State Highway 12 to Morton.

(Ignore the Fairhart St listing, simply follow Highway 7)

Take highway 7 North approximately 11 miles to Mineral Road S.

Turn right onto Mineral Hill Road and continue approximately 1-3/4 miles to Front St in Mineral.

In Mineral, turn right on Front St. (This is the road that passes the Lions Club campground). Continue on this road for approximately 1 mile to our yard and departure site.

Follow the signs to the parking and boarding area.
